My 4 year old has started watching "My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic" and was so excited to get a Princess Celestia, even after immediately noting that she is the wrong color. The Princess is supposed to be white not lavender and purple like this doll. I am concerned that the wings will not last. However, my larger issue is Celestia's vocabulary - "My mane is so beautiful," "My wings are so beautiful" - Celestia is one conceited pony! We are keeping it and my child does "love" the pony, even she says she is "not quite right."

I can NOT stand this pony, however my daughter loves it. It is very conceited and is constantly talking about how beautiful she is and complementing herself while giving very few complements or anything else to the child.
On a different note my, daughter thought it would be fun to give it a bath and threw it in the tub, me in no rush to save the drowning toy pony let her play in hopes it would die. It didnt work for about half a day to a day and it dried out and started with its obnoxious ramblings on how pretty it is. So... fingers crossed on the battery dying soon.

I honestly don't understand what Hasbro was thinking. The correct Princess Celestia is even /on the box/! Have they gone daffy? I absolutely LOVE Friendship is Magic (yes, it's not just for children), and I won't even come near this toy. I will carve my own out of stone and paint it the right way before I even think about buying this doll.
Now, if the "real" Princess Celestia happened to be amazingly conceited and pink, and had those godawful wings, Maybe. I'm sure it's a lovely doll, it just shouldn't be marketed as Princess Celestia.
